Storyteller/Journalist: Blogging, Copywriting, Interviewing, Video Scripting, Content Planning
Online Publishing | Greater St. Louis Area, US
Who I Am:
I'm an award-winning wordsmith, producer and content planner with more than 15 years of experience in journalism, copywriting, video production, branding, digital media and more. Blah, blah.
Bottom line: I dig up and build multi-channel stories, capitalizing on big-picture storytelling opportunities. I make things pretty with words and glue stuff together with common sense. See some stuff: allisonbabka.com. Email me about stuff: email@example.com.
Things I've Made Pretty:
* Advertising/marketing copy/brand stewardship
* Editorial/photo/content plans
* Newspaper/magazine/blog articles
* Print/online/video interviews with rock stars, geek heroes & community leaders
* Video/audio campaigns, scripts & logistics
* SEO copywriting/ghostblogging
* Social media content/community engagement
* Entertainment reviews
* Focus group discussion/analysis
* News releases/tip sheets
* Internal communications
What I'm Doing Now (and Will Do for You):
I work with agencies and publications, mostly for journalism, copywriting, blogging or video production, but I'm also hired for general content planning and social media management.
My love: combining words, video and general content into a cohesive story. My marketing background gives me big-picture eyes and traditional know-how, my news nose pushes me to dig deep during interviews and my producer hat forces me to consider minute details. The result? Compelling stories that fit into a lovely editorial calendar and move across channels.
Ultimate goal: make the world pretty by telling some neato stories.
Why I'm Even More Awesome:
I'm excellent at brand consistency, video shoot logistics and pulling emotional soundbytes from otherwise aloof interview subjects. I'm more than just a girl with a bloody red pen, though; I'm also a kick-ass karaoke DJ with a penchant for singing U2, Miley Cyrus and the theme from "The Brady Bunch." Valuable skills, I swear.
